An honour to sing the cathedral services last weekend for the @Elgar Festival, marking also the 75th anniversary of the @Elgar Society. Elgar’s stirring anthem 'Great is the Lord' had added impact, and the service finale was a 'pinch me' moment as we processed down the cathedral to the Elgar memorial window and awaited the following congregation, including Hilary Elgar, to the sounds of Nimrod played serenely on the organ by @Nicholas Freestone. If you are interested in singing with us, we have a Tenor and Bass vacancy, (the Tenor is open to adults from all backgrounds who can sing in the Tenor range), then do come and hear us sing this weekend. We are singing Evensong on Saturday, May 30th at 5.30pm... we are also singing Eucharist at 10.30am and Evensong on Sunday, May 31st at 4pm which is part of the Elgar Festival.
