First of all, my heart felt thanks to you all for a fabulous concert last Saturday. There were so many highlights - but I think it can best be summed up by the fact that the choir sounded as fresh in the last movement as in the first! And..what an audience!

Anyway..back to this week and what’s coming up next.

We will be concentrating mainly on the Venables requiem with occasional glances at the music we must prepare for the Elgar festival weekend services. I will particularly wish to delve into Howells ‘Like as the Hart’ and Elgar’s ‘The Spirit of the Lord’ this week.
